I've lived here 3 years. From 2018-2021. Overall, it has been pleasant. They are new but have stepped up their game. They listen to residents. Consistently ask for feedback. Are always positive and understanding. Although the pricing isn't the best, everything else makes up for it.

I really enjoy living here everything is clean and well maintained. The people are super helpful as well! I would recommend The Vista to any students in the area!
First of all, I think it is very unfortunate that the Vistas did not fogive contracts nor lower rent due to covid 19 despite not having access to their amenities. Secondly, I recently had a roommate break into my room and damage it on multiple accounts. When I contacted management, they were completely useless and did not interfere. Dog excrement and vomit in the toliet were left and when I addressed that no one had cleaned it they said " we weren't under the impression that you wanted us to provide cleaning" as if anyone would be okay with leaving their apartment like that. Whats even more unfortunate is that this was me speaking to the manager so there wasn't anyone else I could talk to since management did not take this matter seriously and did not give me any other contact information of someone else I could speak to when I asked. There are many other apartments nearby and the dorms are always available, if you can live elsewhere I would highly suggest.
Overall I like it here, it is my second year living here and I already renewed my lease for next year. I like the amenities but unfortunately they are closed because of COVID.
It’s really unfortunate that a housing complex intended for students does not care to accommodate for student’s who are being directly affected by COVID-19. They are forcing students to pay full rent price per month, which unreasonable considering most student are not even living on site due to the pandemic and CSU instruction being online. Not only is this inconsiderate but it is entirely selfish and just shows they see student residents as price tags. There is no sympathy within the leasing office your only options are: to find someone to take over your lease which is almost impossible due to the fact that students are deciding to stay home, make a monthly payment plan which is a joke because the total payments have to add up to a full months rent at the end of each month and the last option is to buy out your lease which if you signed a 1 year lease for a rent rate of 785 your looking at 9,420 lease buy out (more than the cost of tuition). If you’re unable to make this payment your last option is to let go into collection and if your like most students you have a co-signer which means you’ll be damaging both credit scores. I do not understand how Stanislaus State can vouch for such a money hungry facility.
the employees’ current explanations for why they cannot accommate future/current residents involve saying “given the current circumstances of the world” & they expect us to be understanding. Well let me say, we can’t even cancel our lease after a certain point (I signed my lease back in November, I didn’t even know we would be going through a pandemic within the next few months) & once we realize & aceept that, we try to ask for some kind of accommodation & they’re not understanding or considerate with students in these “current circumstances of the world”. Just like other reviews have said, really think it through before you sign or renew a lease.
My daughter just moved in about a month ago. The apartments are nice with good living space.
Love it here ! I wouldn’t choose to live anywhere else. I’ve had other options but my friends and I enjoy staying here and its cheap as well
