I couldn't find anything positive about this place - except the taco truck outside has a red sparkley paint job. Pretty! But on a serious note, don't eat here. Our taco shells were so stale, they were rubber. The ground beef looks like it had already been digested. All the other meat we had(chicken and steak) was dry and hard. Then, it comes out hot as hell because it comes fresh from the microwave! You got it. They take stale meat from a bin, put it in a stale tortilla or shell and then microwave it under a mound of cheese to disguise it. The enchilada is only dried meat wrapped in a stale, corn tortilla and piled with cheese. Wth? They charge you extra for their own sauce that the girl described as "like Pace. A chunkier style." But guess what? It IS Pace. The only reason it's in a small container is so you didn't see them pour it from the Costco container of Pace that I promise they have in the back. The "hot sauces" they have on the counter are in a dish with very little ice - it looks dangerous and dirty. I could keep going but my husband is begging me to go eat...somewhere else. SAVE YOUR PESOS!

I love Tijuana Taco. The family that runs this establishment are truly some hardworking folk. Kelli and Robert have dedicated everything to making their restaurant successful. I recently moved out of the area, but this used to be my go to spot. I kept coming back because this is truly a locally owned and operated institution. Spending your money here means it isn't going to some huge corporation, but instead it is putting food on the table of the owners. Tijuana Taco also has a couple taco trucks prowling the streets of the Tacoma area, so keep an eye out. I highly recommend you swing by and support one of the very few remaining family owned restaurants in the area!

I hadn't visited this establishment in well over a decade, and man was I glad to revisit it. The food was amazing considering it's a fast food type Mexican restaurant. The servings were enormous and the chalupa was one of the most delicious things I've eaten in quite some time. The wait was a bit long, but it was a busy Friday night. Staff was exceptionally friendly and the place was nice and clean, can't wait to go back.

This use to be a great family stop, now they can't keep mush staff and having issue with health department. Get rid of the booze and can maybe being in more staff (age requirements) to bring the old fell back. Taco trucks? I am still on the fence about that one. Can't keep things clean, no need. Good lock to you.

A great local joint with old school basic tacos. Be sure to come on Tuesday for, well duh, taco Tuesday. This place is one of the last oldest food establishments in Lakewood and has some awesome history. They have been the taco da town since 1969.

I have always loved the food even though it's a little pricey these days. But prices are going up all over. It gets busy sometimes, so please be patient. The food is always worth it. And the employees are great, too.

The food here is always excellent at this family owned restaurant. I worked part-time @ TJ Taco in the early 80's while attending college and loved working with the other people - some of whom became friends. Great memories
