I was looking for Malabrigo Rasta yarn and couldn't find it in any of my LYS. I looked online and found it at Fabulous Yarns. Even though the store is located in NY I thought I would try ordering it (I live in CA). My first purchase was in March and I was so happy with the time frame of receiving it I made another purchase of Malabrigo and WAG yarns. I am more than happy with my purchases. Thank you again! :)
UPDATE: The owner's response clearly illustrates the attitude I've been dealing with for the past few months. Nothing I've stated is untrue. If you're not able to effectively deliver respectful customer service, you need to expect to be called on it. I placed an online order with Fabulous Yarn back in November 2020 for a very expensive form of Jade Sapphire cashmere yarn. After receiving the product, I deemed it to be of low quality and worked with the Fabulous Yarn customer service team to address my issue. Initially, they were very accommodating, offering to send me replacement product. When the replacement arrived, it was of the same low quality and I requested to send back all of the product for a refund. I shipped all of the product back to Fabulous Yarn in January 2021, and it arrived to their location on January 19, 2021. After that, I didn’t hear a peep. I sent no less than 5 messages via email, and chat to my existing and open customer service ticket with no response. Their policy is 24-48 hour response time on inquiries. I went over 1 week without any acknowledgement. What finally got their attention was my public posting and feedback on Facebook. However, they promptly deleted my messages, effectively canceling my feedback so as not to further advertise their terrible customer service and subpar handling of quality issues. Looking at other reviews, I’m not the only victim of this poor customer experience. Save yourself a headache and shop elsewhere. There are far too many LYS out there to put up with the rude, condescending and defensive attitude of this shop’s owner and staff. I also wonder if they stock yarn seconds, due to the terribly low quality of product I received.
