Great selections at affordable prices! I've purchased a few times from them via a beekeeper's association but always had to drive to the next state to get them. The last time I ordered directly from Mountain Sweet Honey and had them delivered instead. I was pleased when the post office called to inform me they had arrived so I drove into town to pick them up. The new packages were very lively when released into the hives. The queen was inside her candy-plugged cage and I thought all was well. Evidently they both swarmed to nearby plum trees but I was able to catch them and put them back inside. Apparently they didn't like my hives so they both swarmed again and by the time we went out to get them this time they had absconded.
Have been keeping bees for quite a few years. Have dealt with several suppliers and prefer Mountain Sweet Honey for many reasons from pricing, service, quality of their goods, and educational resources. Have bought many times from them and have never had a bad experience. When I have questions about the health of my hive or just wanting to learn, I always find their site contains information that helps me. Other than wild bees or swarms, I only get my bees from MSH. In my opinion, in dealing with these fine people, you won't go wrong.
Bought my first bees last year from Mountain Sweet Honey. I have been extremely happy with my choice. They were reasonably priced and shipping went smoothly (even though I think post office personnel were happy I came to pick them up sooner rather than later). I am a third generation bee raiser. Even though I have been around bees I am still learning and love any education I can get. So happy with my choice I have another bunch of bees coming in March. Thank you Mountain Sweet Honey!
I'm new to beekeeping and ordered my first package of Italian Bees, along with beekeeping supplies, from Mountain Sweet Honey's website March 2020 for pick-up. It was a very easy process to do on their website. When I called their office, my calls would always go to voicemail but they are a busy group. My calls were returned within a few hours. When I arrived to pick-up my order, the staff was most helpful with sizing mine and my husbands suit, cloves, etc. There were several dead bees in the bottom of the package which was a concern for this newbie beekeeper but once home and settled in their new hive, they flourished. I've made a few small orders on-line for delivery since March of 2020 and they were delivered quickly. I truly appreciate the support of the staff and love how healthy my bees are!
