I have been using Tohatsu outboard motors since 2010. They are a quality Japanese product, not your typical Shenzen Chinese knockoff. The huge parts network is local to me so any parts the dealer may be out of are delivered very quickly. All in all, great motor, great service. I would recommend 100% to anyone.

I'm a driver. Make deliveries and pick ups, so there are hundreds of places that I've never been to. This place is one of them. I pull in, not sure where to back my trailer into. I see a dock worker gesturing as if to say "What the **** are you doing?" He loads the trailer, racing around on the forklift, angrily and never says hello or thank you. Must be nice to be perfect at everything.

nothing is wrong with tohatsu motor. i have been marine mechanic for 18 years.i worked on some of old tohatsu small motors.. they were ok. i wouldnt mind buying one for my self.

Hubby. bought a brand new Tohatsu outboard motor from a dealer in Texas in December 2016. Since day one the motor has been cutting out. Tohatsu via Dealer have been what my old dad would call, jerry-rigging the fuel lines, pump, fuel injector, and umpteen other 'fixes' trying to get this lemon to work properly. The newest idea is for him to pain some part of the fuel-system with zinc and then black paint, and then move something else up higher. It is ridiculous! Don't buy a Tohatsu outboard motor before you have gone to all the online reviews. Sadly we didn't do that and now it's a nightmare that just never seems to end.

The guys at the Tohatsu headquarters are great ! I purchased an old tohatsu and the local tohatsu dealers don't seem to know that much about the older engines so I called the headquarters in Dallas. Vick has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the engines and available parts. I called him before I purchased the engine to make sure certain parts were still available and he even helped give me ideas of things to look at on the engine before I bought it. It was obvious he knew a lot about my engine even though its 20 years old ! Another guy has helped me with parts, and was also very helpful, but i can't remember his name unfortunately. These guys know their engines very well and couldn't be more helpful. Excellent customer service.

Bought the 2016 TLDI 115. What a awesome motor. Powerful, 3.8 mpg, quite and most of all, dependable. Thanks for making such a great product.
