I'm a fleet owner and I started writing reviews to warn people of bad places, however this one takes the cake for the worst! Thermo King West is Phoenix Arizona is unethical, disrespectful, and outright shameful all rolled into one. The attitude they carry here is as if you're stuck in the desert and they're the only place with water so they can be as disrespectful as they want and charge whatever they want because they're the only player in town. The Service Writer was Anthony and the Technician was Jose. They will flat out tell you, it doesn't matter what any other Thermo King charges, we are 3 to 4 times higher. The experience was so bad that not only will I never buy another Thermo King product, but even though this is a franchise, I will still write a letter to Corporate explaining how unethical this location is and how poorly they represent the Thermo King brand. This is the first review where I give them five thumbs down

I liked it because they responded quickly, unlike other cities where an appointment was required and it was weeks out. However, I had hoped that their Service Writers would be better informed on the inner workings of theirs products serviced (in this case, an Auxiliary Power Unit or APU) or that a Technician would compensate by explanation of what work was performed. Instead, I was directed to the work order, which explained the problem but there was no one to explain how the unit works, a maintenance plan/service schedule or even its proper operation. I guess I'm left with Google and YouTube video searches...
It was already late at night and they were close to closing but they were still willing to rush a fix on my reefer which allowed us to make on time pick up! They also are willing to go out of their way to help another driver who had a pad lock from another driver on his trailer. These guys are awesome.
They got me in and out quickly. Did a great job of getting my refer fixed and me back on the road again!
Do not let them touch or install anything. They are rude and don’t stand behind there work. Had a tri pac installed there and had coolant leaks from the day I left. Due to how rude employees were fixed the clamps myself. About a week ago I had some issues with it not working. Had it fixed at thermo king in Albert Lea man great place and they said it was all installed wrong, nothing was tightened the way it should have been and the wiring harness was not secured when they installed it properly. Called thermo king and let them know and have never heard a thing from them about it. But I have the notes from the place that fixed it showing it was a bad install. Avoid thermo king in Phoenix keep driving to somewhere else. Don’t let them touch your equipment.

Expensive.... I was charged 392 for 1 Hr. of work and 30 part. This job was to clean a screen on an Espar cab heater. My home shop in OH usually charge between 150 to 200 for this common issue. So when the service manager tells me they charge book hours (I just love this BS) of 1.8 Hrs, tax, the fact they drop other jobs to take me in, etc. etc. I am just disappointed. It takes us a whole lot longer than an hour to make this money. I am going to be fair and admit they called with the price after diagnostics and prior to doing the job. Since I was already invested in the time sending the driver, diagnostics, etc. I agreed to the job. This could be a good shop, but prepare to pay premium for the work!
