Atmosphere is good. We didn’t eat the chicken fried steak though, but I can’t imagine it being great, as 80% of our food was bland and warm, not hot. Macaroni is over cooked and runny. Not great. Pot roast was very bland. Okra was fine. French fries and chicken strips were below average. Meat loaf was not good. Green beans and squash was good. Rolls are great. Honestly I think the food quality is buffet quality or less.
Was out of town & was referred by someone who'd said that they were famous & well known for their Chicken fried Steak, simply the 'BEST' in Texas!!! He truly wasn't kidding/wrong!! Very friendly & courteous service & very clean & well kept both inside & out too!! I'll definately be visiting this restaurant again in my near future!!
First impression this place needs an update. We were seated next to the drinks and we asked for a quieter place. So the host put us on the other side of the drink station and the kitchen. It's just after opening and the restraint is empty. I got a side salad. I have never needed a spoon to eat a salad. It was made of hand burger lettuce. The main food was a pasta. It looked like the blob. Food badly needs a face lift. The flavor was just as bad as the view. The other members of the party had their canned vegetables. And yes it is canned not fresh as the menu says and it was cold. The gravy is yesterday's gravy and made from the powder. Again not as fresh as it said. Overall not the best experience from listening to the manager play with the waitress by the kitchen to the rude way the hostess handled our request. This is a place I would not regularly visit and don't plan to be back for a while.
good food. fast and friendly service. the portions are BIG. so yeah, you'll surely have enough of their popular chicken fried steak. a must when you'll around tomball.
