They don't maintain their tools. Hope nothing blows up while you're using it. They just sit on the shelf and wait to rent it out before making sure things function.

Staff was friendly, tool works great- however understand you will not be paying the price listed as the rental there are many, many fees associated. And don’t even think about keeping it a minute over the time allotted, you will pay a lot for the extra. I personally ended up paying 2x the listed price for an extra hour and a half (after calling in and making sure it was ok to keep the tool, apparently my fault for the misunderstanding) and only got a “sorry there’s nothing we can do” answer. Fun!

I rented a roto tiller from this Home Depot and it would not start when I got it home. I followed all included instructions and even called for troubleshooting advice. Would not start and was probably not tested. I returned it immediately, someone told me they had refunded all my money, but three days later only half of my money was returned. After calling the store they didn't believe me and very reluctantly refunded the rest of my money because they thought I had had it for 18 hours. They were talking about checking video footage instead of trusting me (or just remembering me, as it was the same employee on the phone who rented the tiller to me). Complete incompetence, horrible customer service, and after they didn't give me my whole refund back, I'd say it is bordering on theft when they provide nothing (or worse, a broken tool) and do not return your money. Don't rent here, go to someplace that specializes in rentals and/or has competent employees like A to Z Rental or Menard's.
