I’ve done trails all over the country but Fiery Gizzard no doubt beats them all. The river running beside the entire trail, the shade so is the perfect temperature, the links was perfect so even if there’s a lot of people you can run past them and be alone in the waterfalls are just spectacular. You’re gorgeous blue/green water and caves covered in moss. I wish I had time to camp out and spend an entire weekend!!! GREAT for trail run ing too!!

This is one of the most beautiful areas I have hiked in Tennessee. The Grundy Day Loop is a beautiful hike, but the Fiery Gizzard through hike is even better. I hiked both trails this year and they were both absolutely breathtaking! With all the rain we have had, there are waterfalls everywhere. The view from Raven's Point is phenomenal! If you enjoy hiking and are up for a challenge, the Fiery Gizzard Trail is a worthy of a bucket list status. It is not a trail for the faint at heart. Taking a good supply of food and water is a must. It took us 8 hours to hike the 13 miles.

Beautiful area with both beginner-friendly, and more technically challenging trails. Worth the drive; makes for a great day trip.

I am new to the south and I was a little uncurtain that it would be able to compare to my home state of Washington scenery. I will say that this area was very beautiful and reminded me of home. The river was beautiful and clear, its a very nice area to wade in the shallow river. Also while we were there we were able to get a few glances at a river otter.
