While researching heating & cooling systems to be installed in my home I called Trane to get information about their warranty and availability of parts. From the two women I spoke to at Trane I heard \I don't have that information.\ So, the one knew nothing while the other knew the length of their warranty but couldn't answer why my dealer would say obtaining parts for the American based Trane system is more difficult than getting parts for the Japanese based system that he recommended for my home.
