Sales guy was very nice and informative. Cost was higher than other companies but we were sold on the quality and service. I can't complain about the actual fence, but would still not hire this company again. 1. Once the contract was signed, communication went totally downhill. 2. Did not show up on the data scheduled to install the fence. We had to make numerous calls to be told materials were late. Still never knew actually when the fence would be installed as could not get an actual date. 3. Utilities were marked weeks before they did the actual install and all utility markers had disappeared by the time the showed up, but they still did the install without knowing where the utilities were underground. 4. They had ordered the wrong gate and had to come back weeks later to replace, where they once again discovered they had ordered the wrong gate for a second time. 5. Keeping in mind we were sold on the ongoing support to fix any issues with the fence, a short while after the installation the gate no longer locked as it appears they installed it where it just barely made the latch. After we lost our dog because the gate didn't work we attempted to get them to fix it. They said they would but communication and punctuality is lacking with this company. I ended up having to fix their mistake myself. Again, I can't complain about the fence itself, but based on the lack of communication, punctuality, and lack of being able to commit on going support of their product I would seriously consider choosing a different company. I don't believe you really end up getting what you paid for with this company.

We went through the whole sales process with this company for a backyard fence--selected the product, measured the space, signed the contract, and placed a 25% deposit with them. Two weeks later they called to tell us they needed an additional 658 due to a materials error on their part. We told them we needed a few days to get other quotes. The next day, they reduced the additional charges to 438. At that point we canceled. The company promptly and courteously refunded our deposit. However, more reputable businesses would never dream of shaking down a customer for more money because of their mistake. Perhaps this is old school thinking, but a good salesman would rather absorb the expense of his error than dare ask his client for more money AFTER the contract is signed. I would be very, very cautious in dealing with Trost Plastics.
We are so happy with our fence from Trost Plastics! Their communication was great before and during the project. Installation was fast and easy and they finished our fence in less than a day. Our fence looks beautiful and we couldn’t be more happy! We will be recommending Trost Plastics to everyone!
