Love the history and the loop was so incredible. So many photo opportunities. I WOULD RECOMMEND.

Great little 1 mile loop with educationally stops. Plus amazing sunset views from the trailhead.
If you want a very easy trail in a beautiful area, take your family to the Freeman Homestead Tvrail. It is an interpretive nature trail with informational signage about the flora and fauna of the area. It has a long set of stairs leading down to the wash. They are gradual. But, going back up you realize that you have dropped downhill quite a bit. This might be challenging on the return trip for small children or someone who is quite out of shape. Also, a fee is required to enter this park.
well maintained educational loop just over one mile in length with truly lovely views that change quickly enough to provide multiple backdrops for classic desert photos
Beautiful!
Like a scene from a Sergio Leone film, the Freeman Homestead trail is a glimpse into the lives of early settlers in the Tucson area. We had the added benefit of taking this walk with a park ranger who explained the conditions and challenges of desert life. Difficult to imagine summers here without the modern comfort of air conditioning.
One of my favorite short trails, about 1 mile loop, 100 ft elevation change. May be unsuitable physically handicapped (not suitable for wheelchairs and baby strollers).
