Jeanne makes the coolest hats around town. She has a talent for detail, and a substantial knowledge of shaping a hat for perfect aspect and style and fit. And she teaches classes too!

I am a milliner, that previous to Jeanne's class, has gained most of my skills from retired milliners. Jeanne's 3 day class is for students on all levels. Techniques I learned have improved my abilities to produce a more professional product that I can be proud of. She has a great range of knowledge & I will continue to learn from.

I have taken two hat classes from Jeanne and she is a delight! She has lots of experience and knowledge that she gladly shares. I come home with professional looking hats and have gone on to invest in tools and make and sell hats on my own. The attached photo is from the felt blocking class. I get complements whenever I wear this hat. She is the best!!

My journey and love for millinery started with Jeanne classes! I took Jeanne's intensive millinery class 3 years ago. It was by far one of the most important classes I have taken in my life. Little did I know at the time how this class would change the direction of my life. Jeanne is an excellent millinery teacher. She has the ability to take the subject of millinery and break it down in parts so its clear and not overwhelming. Most importantly she helps guide you while letting you keep your artistic vision. Jeanne is a gem! Go take her class and it just might change your life!

I had the pleasure of attending Jeanne's 3-day beginning hat making class. It was fun and I learnt a lot. I made 3 hats within the 3 days in spite of having zero knowledge about hat making before the class. By the end of my 3rd day, I was fired up ready to start making hats! Jeanne is a delightful and knowledgeable teacher. She is generous in her teaching and resources. She is patient and has a warm personality that makes you feel like you have known her for a long time. Thanks Jeanne!

I took Jeanne's 3 day millinery workshop with no prior experience & no idea what to expect. She is impeccably trained, & has a resumé that includes fashion/film/theatre at the very highest level. (Like so many other greats in the fine arts/crafts, she landed in little old Tucson. We are Santa Fe without the good publicist.) She is also great fun and a wonderful person to spend class time with. She teaches fine hat making -- design, blocking/construction and finishing. This is the OPPOSITE of someone handing you a hat, a glue gun & cheap fabric trim and telling you to "decorate." I emerged with three fully complete hats -- two felt, one straw -- blocked to perfectly fit my giant noggin. Hand stitching, hand finishing -- and no glue. My hats would look perfectly suitable for the Neiman Marcus hat department. And these are my first hats. I know now where to go to get my own materials, and have the resources/knowledge to complete new designs on my own. Best of all? I now have an amazing, generous teacher I can call on when I have questions, and I have a great new, smart, creative friend!

Jean is great and super knowledgeable about all things hats! Her class was my first (of now many) millinery classes and definitely sparked a passion in me. While I have always loved hats, the process of actually creating them seemed a far-flung possibility in the modern age when anyone can purchase a machine-made hat for cheap. Handmade and artful headwear is not a lost art and is not inaccessible after all, and Jean's classes are a perfect gateway into the millinery arts.

I had a fabulous time making hats with a wonderful fun group of women. It wasn't something i was planning on doing--I just decided last minute and i'm so glad I did. It was a memorable experience. Excellent -- never intimidating-- instruction. Jeanne is wonderful.
