I learned more in this one 3 hour session that I have in a few years! Didn’t even feel like 3 hours, I was really enjoying the lesson and it’s mostly hands on. Roger customized my lesson to where I was at in photography, and what I needed help with. I definitely plan on taking more lessons. Erika

My wife and I took a private lesson a few years ago from Roger while we were in Arizona doing some Nomad Rifleman style long range shooting. Roger was knowledgeable, yet kept things appropriate for our level of knowledge. We plan to return for a tuneup!

Roger did a wonderful job of ascertaining where my knowledge base was, and then expanding it. He used examples and multiple ways of explaining things that made the information click. He taught to my level in a way that made each minute of the lesson useful. I highly recommend him for any level of photographer from brand new to advanced amature.

Roger is top notch! We're so fortunate to have someone of Roger's caliber right here in Tucson. He is a natural mentor and that's truly invaluable to artists of all levels. I've sporadically attended his monthly meetings since moving to Tucson 5 years ago and I marvel at the extent, depth and ongoing skills and talents in all areas of photography and anything, anything no-limits computer related. At a one-on-one session, Roger's knowledge was superb and his teaching adapts to individual skills at all levels. To find another with Roger's abilities will be a needle in a haystack search!

Roger is great at breaking down the fundamentals of photography. He ensures you understand them with practical examples. I have learned more from him than any instructional videos. I highly recommend getting lessons from him for anyone interested in furthering their photography skills

I have enjoyed a weekly 3-hour private one-on-one Photoshop training session with Roger for the past few months. Roger has a strong hands-on background in computer coding and software development. As a result, his training sessions have been like no other. In stead of just telling me how to solve a particular issue in a photo, he delved deep into how the software really works and why it works that way so that I could use that knowledge to solve issues on my own. He does not teach in the usual recipe book fashion; rather, he approaches issues from a position of developing the student's insight. In other words, he doesn't just give you a fish; rather, he teaches you how to fish.

I started studying photography with Roger in the fall of 2015. From the start, I believe that my intentions were to really understand photography. Studying with Roger has provided an opportunity of continuous learning with a teacher who has knowledge that is both wide and deep. This is a tremendously important point for me as it has allowed me to really explore different areas of photography. These have ranged from basic camera control to nuanced lighting and editing techniques. Each time I visit Roger, I learn that there is so much more to learn. In particular, that photography - even more specifically, photographic lighting - does not exist in a vacuum. Roger always shares his experience in many other fields as they are relevant. I now have a passion for lighting and have begun to work for myself full time doing product photography. I owe many thanks to Roger for guiding me along this journey of understanding! Ben Sisco

I've now attended a few workshops and had lessons and I can honestly say the information Roger provides is clear, concise, and provides me with skills I'm able to put to use immediately. He provides great insight, has a very discerning eye, and provides you with techniques to help master and perfect your skills. I've taken other photography classes, read books, and followed videos, there is absolutely no comparison. I highly recommend taking his classes.
