Reporting following information to the Better Business Bureau. My roommate and I purchased a dryer in May. Tried to negotiate with Allen for a lower price, And his response was that if I could pay cash he would waive the taxes for me and my roommate. Went across the street to Wells Fargo got cash and came back paid for the unit. Allen made no mention of us waiving the one-year warranty for accepting our cash payment that was not inclusive of taxes. After a couple of short months the apparent quality of Allen’s work came to light with our dryer catching fire and torching the back half of our laundry room. I reached out to see if Allen would be able to help me in anyway and of course records of the transaction were removed and Allen told me that unless I could provide a receipt I was basically SOL. Unfortunately for Mr. Allen I was uncomfortable that he was talking about bypassing paying taxes and so I decided to record the entire conversation on my phone.

Allen RUN AWAY AFTER I CALL THE POLICY. Allen the service manager was extremely rude and is a liar. I called at 2:00 for service. He said he would be right over. He said service call is 100 but it goes towards the bill. He came at 4:40. Looked at unit on the roof for 5 minutes. Then came down and asked if I wanted to pay time and a half to have it diognosed today or wait til next day and only pay regular prices. I told him I would wait til the next day and then he said he wouldn’t be able to diagnose the problem until I agreed to pay him overtime even the next day. I told him next mind and that he should leave. He said he would sit there and call the cops unless I paid him the 100. I told him that I wouldn’t and asked him to leave. He refused. So I called the cops. He left before the cops arrived but please be aware. This man is a crook! Look at all the reviews. He also kept vaping and blowing the damn fumes into my face. Horrible business and horrible person.

DO NOT EVER CONSIDER USING THIS COMPANY! Allen replaced my shocks (359) on a new GE washer. The machine did the same thing it was doing before the "repair". Allen is unprofessional, made many inappropriate comments and sucked on his vape canister in my home. He tried to tell me I didn't know how to sort my laundry properly. I had another repairman look at my machine. I showed him the shocks Allen removed and he said they were not worn or defective. I am lodging a complaint with the BBB and if I don't get any resolution, I will picket outside his place of business. It's people like him that give repairman a bad name. Run, don't walk from ever considering using their bogus service!! They deserve negative 10 stars! The 4 star rating was written by his relative, Aaron Workman! Total scammers!!!! UPDATE: second repairman took the back panel off the machine and found the rear shock had come apart; all pieces there, he just had to put them back together. He charged me 105.00 ..

As all others have said...this man Allen is a down right rude aggroant. PLEASE DO NOT USE!! YOU WILL BE SORRY YOU EVER DEALT WITH THIS PERSON. OVER 300.00 out for Senior man on fixed income and the refrigerator still does not work. I am taking to court. If you have bad dealings with him...please take him to court. I would wish he could never dupe another person. I didn't even want to gi e him a 1 rating.

From start to finish my experience was horrible! Their technician Allen was sent to my house and he was rude unprofessional and a LIAR. He was even smoking vape in my house while working on my fridge with out even asking. My refrigerator stopped working but the freezer part still worked. He quoted me 275 to fix it. After he worked on it for a hour NOTHING on my fridge was working now. A few days later he told me it was going to be much more than the quoted price. When I was given the quote I was told if they went over that price I could cancel the order and get my money back. Of course when I tried to cancel because they went way over the quote Allens story changed and he would keep the 275 regardless even though he told both me and my father separately I would get my money back if it was over the quoted price and wanted to cancel. He then tried to blame the fridge costing more to fix because the inside of my house was "hot" and that's why it broke... after arguing with them they agreed to refund my money. However they lied again saying we would get a full refund but instead of the full 275 back they gave me 140. Now there dodging my phone calls. So if you want a company that smokes in your house, breaks your stuff, lies to you, hides from you when you try to contact them and if you like to waste time in small claims court progressive refrigeration and appliance company is the place for you.

Allan will tell you anything he thinks you want to hear to sell something and then denies everything later. His "guarantees" and "warranties" mean nothing. Our refrigerator we bought from him never worked properly. We had to go months hearing his constant lies and excuses. He could never fix our fridge, would not give us our money back, and yelled at us on the phone. This guy is not just a sleazy salesman, he is mentally unstable. Please don't make the same mistake we did.

Called to see about buying a washer, gave me a run around with price match specials. Then told me since it's not for me, he can't do it. Then when I asked how much, he started about the price match special. I told him I wanted a price, and said he couldn't negotiate prices over the phone. Apparently giving a straight forward price is not very simple, or the employee is just an idiot. I don't do business with people that have intelligence less than that of a rock. I would give a 0, but it's not allowed, so they get a 1.
