Great climbing gym with an excellent staff and an amazing community of climbers. In addition to the variety of climbing walls and features, they frequently offer classes on relevant topics from specific classes for women to general and advanced classes on lead climbing, multi pitch climbing, and rigging and safety. I highly recommend Rocks and Ropes for all climbers.

My first time back in the gym in almost two years (injury then something catastrophic on a global scale happened), so I needed a guide, nay teacher, to show this baby bird all about climbing all over again. Kate was there for me in my trying time. She deserves a raise. She forced me to write this. But in all seriousness, it’s good to get back to climbing especially in a facility that has all safety guidelines dialed. I’ll probably avoid the highest traffic session times for my own sake, but they’ve got things dialed. In a city of indoor bouldering it’s nice to have some indoor top rope still. Later!

I love Rocks and Ropes! Awesome place to climb and meet great people. R&R does a great job with cleaning and sanitizing guidelines. Very knowledgeable staff

Wow! The new open space is a big improvement over the old gym. It's amazing and a must stop for any climber. The new walls are of great quality with a varied number of surfaces. The gym feels much more open and less crammed than it did before. Great job and an amazing place to climb and train. The staff are amazing, friendly, and down to earth. I only wish it had a crack climb. Otherwise it's perfect.

EDIT: Original review is written below. My original rating of 5 stars was prior to being a member. The new review of three stars is a fair rating considering my mixed interaction with members. Members who are experienced climbers, more so than me (and I can climb an 11.b indoors 10.c outdoors), have shown on four separate occasions that for them it is socially acceptable to break social distancing rules. On each of the four occasions members have climbed adjacent to me, sometimes within 20 inches of me even though there is tape on the ground marking not to climb on adjacent routes. This review is of the poor practice and selfish nature climbers seem to adhere to when the gym reaches near or at capacity. If you purchase a membership, please avoid busy times of 6-9 pm as members have continually shown willful ignorance and operate selfishly with their space. Interested in climbing and being safe? You can do better than Rocks & Ropes. Go to the Bloc and you will have a better climbing experience or go to Rock Solid Climbing & Fitness. Most of the climbers are nice at any of the climbing gyms here and unfortunately neither the selfish members nor the staff have fixed the issue I kept facing. Regardless, stay safe everyone and climb on. Original (July 2020) I wanted to share my affinity for the gym and request if possible, a ballpark estimate of when the gym might open?

This place is fantastic. While it can be a little pricy, there is days for student and military discounts, and the first-timer package is cheaper on Wednesday too. Other than that, it has everything you'll need to get a good climb in, with really challenging routes, as well as easier ones. This Is a great place to work out or just have fun. They have multiple bouldering areas, tonns of walls, and a great time to be had.

Just one of those spots that you can't help but to come back to several times a week. Having climbing at Rocks and Ropes before their Renovation, I can honestly it's a pretty awesome update! The gym has Rental gear and has ropes on most of the walls for new climbers, or for sport/lead climbers provides the ropes after a certification test.
