For the last three years, I have had an ongoing working relationship with Mat and have enjoyed using his services in several creative capacities. As a working full time artist in my own field, I have outsourced 25 jobs to Mat the Maker ranging from carpentry to welding, to inlaying, and other aesthetic finessing. He is reasonable and fair in how he conducts business and feels it is his duty to deliver quality work no matter the job. Moreover, Mat the Maker is a visionary and artisan in his own respect and enjoys opportunities that permit him to employ his imagination on top of being a skilled woodworker and well-rounded maker. Mat and I have collaborated on projects over the years, and I have brought his original work home and into my studio gallery—most notably, my signature chess piece and logo, a 3’ handcrafted bishop. If you want custom work done or want a job done well, I could not recommend Mat the Maker more enthusiastically. When you work with Mat, you’re supporting a hardworking and talented artisan who will over-deliver.

Mat is a talented craftsman with a unique vision and ability for the final product of any project. He has the technical skill to make it exactly the way you want it, but the experience to envision the outcome and make suggestions for improvements. He seems dedicated to honing his skills, and has a wide variety of techniques that let him produce something you might not even have known was an option. Trust the artist and he can produce something truly one-of-a-kind for you.
Matt did an amazing job recreating a farmhouse style entryway table from a picture that my wife had seen on Pinterest. We are extremely happy with the table he made for us. It is a one of a kind piece of furniture. We highly recommend Matt if you are looking for something unique and of high quality.
Mat did a beautiful job bringing my dream into reality with a one of a kind vanity table. The wood and steel combination provides a stunning contrast while the custom lace paint job lends a touch of feminine elegance. I could not be happier with my purchase.
