TL;DR: they will upsell higher priced pieces that are absolute trash and not worth a quarter of the money. (This is for the 4408 location which does not seem to have its own page) I went into Diane and Geordie to buy shapewear shorts. I didn't need anything too extreme, and I told the sales girl so much. I just wanted something that would flatten my tummy so I could wear a bodycon dress. She immediately pointed me towards a 45 "booty enhancing" shapewear short. I told her it wasn't what I really needed but she insisted, even when I asked about other less expensive products. She told me that this product was much tighter and would not show under my clothes, and that the material would do exactly what I needed. She handed me a size small. I'm thin but still have a 40 in hip so it seemed like this was more than small enough. She did her job well and convinced me that it was a much better investment. I asked if I could try it on but she told me this particular piece could not be tried on because "it won't go back to its original size after you put it on" (spoiler alert: it did) and that I could not return it. I imagined that since it was relatively expensive, and she insisted it was the best piece in the store for the job that it would do its job well. I tried it on once I got home and to my dismay not only did it not work very well... it didn't work at all! It was very small before I put it on and stretched quite a bit so it wasn't like the size was too big, the material just did nothing at all. My stomach was the same size with it on as with it off. It's very cheap. I don't mind the upselling... if the product is worth the price. But to upsell me so much for a piece that did absolutely nothing is ridiculous. No wonder she wouldn't let me try it on in the store. I've always had great luck with shapewear stores on Bergenline and trust Colombians to know what they're talking about, but this store is not trustworthy at all and recommend anyone to steer clear.
