Guy behind counter said they rented to homeowners "as a convenience to the homeowner" so they didn't need my money. Another time I had something reserved and I got there and they had already rented it. I went to the Mint Hill rental place. Cheaper and MUCH nicer.

I rented a stump grinder from them over the weekend and paid for them to pick it up Monday. Their key wouldn't work and gave me the opportunity to return it myself. They refunded that portion to me. They all seem like good people. I'll be renting from them again soon.
