Extremely poor customer service. My husband and I had our financing approved before entering this facility. We are hard workers who utilized our earned income to facilitate financial freedom via our small business. We are also African American. We were not even greeted when we entered with our 2 year old son. They just stared at us for literally 7 minutes, then my husband started ducking into offices asking for help. It only worsened from there. I would rather have my credit drop one point and shop elsewhere. Xavier and Samson, thanks for nothing. Sincerely, a broken hearted Texan mother

Great service! I went to a Toyota dealership in the West side of San Antonio and was treated very, very poorly. I decided to go see Universal Toyota and had a completely different experience. John Cappelli sold me this sweet ride. From start to finish, everyone was kind and considerate. I'll definitely do business with them, again.

Purchased a 2018 ‘special edition’ tundra (big tires, aftermarket rims, 3” lift, bed cover etc.) new couple years ago. Jose was the salesman. Whole process was smooth as butter. One time my wife called the wrong Toyota dealer to schedule the oil change by accident, which we didn’t know until after we showed up at Universal, and they still got us out within an hour. Also noticed a few flecks of spray in bed liner where it was thin, and universal fixed it ASAP that day. Great dealership.

Wow. You would think they would want to sell a vehicle. Especially a 4Runner venture. After I test drove and attempted negotiations that were unsuccessful I left. They also told me the vehicle was for a managers friend and that is why there was a sold sticker on it, but yet negotiated on it anyway. After I left, I continued to monitor the vehicle online and it was never “sold”. So today I see they lowered the price to LOWER than my offer! I called and they said it sold to a manager son the night before. Okay, update your website. So then they try to sell me another vehicle they do not have over the phone. The manager was so incredibly rude, condescendingly speaking to me and talking over me and correcting things like “managers son” when I said “managers friend” which is what I was told. How petty, that type of communication does not sell cars. I told him he was speaking rudely to me and he said I was making it about something else and all he wanted to do was sell a car. I am surprised they’re selling vehicles the way they speak to potential buyers. They then tried to get me to put a down payment on a vehicle I had not seen or test drove and that they did not have yet. He said “you do understand these vehicles are made and come from Japan.” Yeah, I do & what? You have no stock photo or VIN number to provide me. He said he provided a photo-it was a picture of a sheet of paper listing the specs. As an attorney who negotiates for a living, they need some lessons, and I am not willing to offer them a single piece of advice, except BE KIND, always & maybe learn a thing or two from Cavender Toyota.

Purchased a vehicle with Werner at Universal Toyota, and my wife and I are very happy. This is our second truck we purchase with this Dealer and our sales person is always Werner. He has been the person we come to every time me or my family are in need of a car or truck. This 1794 is sitting in my driveway and I wanted to share my great experience just in case you are thinking of purchasing a car or truck. I highly recommend this Dealer they all work together to make sure you are a happy customer.
