University House is definitely pretty to look at, but inside is different. For example, the elevators rarely work. Only one is working at all times. One is specifically for floors 16-19, and yet residents who live on those floors take the one elevator that is for the rest of the tower. Employees at the desk are rude and always have an attitude when you need something. They come off as snobby. Their 24 hour maintenance takes forever. They do a poor job of informing residents of when the desk will be closing. They only leave notes on the desk, never a mass email. Also, their parking pass is ridiculously expensive and overpriced. It’s 125 every month, compared to the ASU lot right next to them that’s 780 for the YEAR. Pros of living here would be the walls are pretty thick so you don’t hear much of your neighbors. Nice amenities within your apartment such as stainless steel appliances, in-unit washer/dryer, and flat screen tv in the living room. Water pressure and temperature are nice as well.

My review is from a parent's perspective. All-in-all... I am satisfied with University House as they address repair issues in my son's room when I talk to them directly. That works for me. The place has good security - not perfect I am sure but a good effort is made. The rooms are nice looking & I think the overall quality is fine. Noise level is certainly better than the dorm room experience. Great location on campus sealed the deal for me.

UH is a pretty decent living environment. I was skeptical moving in at first because of all the negative reviews but it really is not as bad as they say it is. I have had a good experience for the most part (washing machine broke twice but thats all). Most of my friends who also live in the building haven’t had problems as well. Cons: Appliances break but good maintenance, completely see through windows especially if you have an amenity view, creepy hallways, natural lighting is pretty low.

UH is okay! The rooms are a bit small and most weeks you can expect an elevator or two to be out of service. Maintenance requests can be hit or miss (I had a dryer replaced and ended up with a flooded apartment due to a loose screw). Overall, I enjoy living there and the proximity to campus!

Going on a week now with multiple things broken since the start when I moved in here. My garbage disposal does not work, the sink is leaking water into the cabinets underneath, the dishwasher started flooding the floor the first time I ran it, and the heat exhaust tube coming out of the back of the dryer is nearly torn in half. My apartment is beginning to smell terrible from food sitting in the sink, and I can’t do my laundry with a broken dryer. I was told maintenance would fix these things yet they’re nowhere to be found and I haven’t heard squat from management. Absolutely horrible experience to start my time at this place. Safe to say I will not be paying my rent until these issues are fixed as my contract requires WORKING appliances that I’m paying for. Edit: Since UH has begun charging me almost 30 extra a month out of nowhere, I figured I'd add some more thoughts and photos of this place. I'm about 6 months into my lease and my review stands as I originally wrote. Let me set the record straight. This place is FILTHY. Beer cans, full slices of pizza, throw up, you name it, it's in your hallway if you choose to live here. Do not fall for 5 star reviews of this place. It's UH employees being told by management to leave a good review. It's all BS. Management and staff play it off like this place is luxury college living, but the only luxurious part about this place is the outrageous prices that get you a smelly, dirty, and cheaply built apartment. Do yourself a favor—save the headache and frustration...DO NOT LIVE HERE.
