Within the past several months Upper Marlboro service department has taken advantage of charging and wanting to charge me for fixing my truck. My check engine light was on after a major tune up after putting 3000 miles on the truck. I knew it was something minor. I took my truck to advance auto to get a reading. It was determined that it needed an Oxygen Sensor for 75. Fine I get it that Ford would charge me for a reading but knowing that it would only take 3 to 5 minutes to install, Ford gave me an estimate of 500 and that was only an estimate. I also was excessively charged 2100 for my tune up and other items approximately a 150% mark up. My air blower needed to be replace and I asked for an amount to replace it. Ford told me 300 which is another big rip off. I went to advanced auto and got the part for 22 dollars and removed my glove compartment and replaced the old one and inserted the new one in 10 mins. I ended up speaking with manager Floyd Alexander in person who said he would look into the matter. Well he called me and left a message to contact him. I contacted him abs left a message but he never called me back. During my last visit for the check engine light I confronted him politely and the only thing he did was to apologize which is totally bot right. I’ve served in the military and law enforcement by putting my life on the line with gun fire and this is how I get the short end of the stick. I’ll be writing a letter to the corporation as an unsatisfied customer.
