Pathetics and unprofessionals. Definitely they have no knowledge about their job description.

Never had hassle ever. They are not there to joke or play games. Put your attitude in your pocket and your business face on. They have a job to do. Your vehicle will not be stopped going South, but your tag and vehicle goes though an automated photo system @ 40 mph. Coming North you'll be stopped and asked if you and your occupants are a US citizen. Quick and easy. They are extremely polite, especially if "you" are. I ALWAYS roll down all my windows so they can easily see inside the vehicle. Doing little things to help them, help yourself.
Detaining and interrogating drivers about citizenship without cause is a violation of First Amendment rights. We have the right to remain silent.
Traveled the world and never come across a worse Border Patrol - Karen was mean.... she made me and my friends sit on the side of the road for hours, coming back to the car many times to yell at me for not having my passport, wouldn't let me turn around and get it from our airbnb or use computer to show a digital copy (no wifi/ service out there) Karen wouldn't accept my drives license as ID! Kevin finally came to the car and let us go, giving me paperwork about passport requirements and told us 'we don't really do much about it anyway' the next morning we passed through again - I showed my drivers license and they let us thru (the same one that wasn't accepted the night before) Karen no need - why so bogus? 6 white kids in a Suburban... real threat!! Kevin we should be mates... Beers?
The agents are nice guys. Just don't try to be cute or give them a hard time.
Really sucks if you don't have immigration documents or are breaking the law. Lol
Came through here after a week in Big Bend National Park. They had a dog, walked around our camper and when they were out of sight around the passenger side, I heard a scratch. I'm sure they caused the dog to become "alerted", and did it back there where I wouldn't see. Had to pull over and step out while the guy with the dog looked through our cabinets and picnic basket. The kicker is, the dog didn't want to go in our camper. The guy had to shove him in! OBVIOUSLY they found nothing inside. What a joke. I'd like my tax money back, please.
Bad experience with my son from UK who did not carry his passport so caused me a 100 miles round trip journey to get it..typical dumb USCBP
