Most of time they are very professional however, there are a few that racially profile and integrate people just because they can’t speak English. If you are stationed in Falfurrias where most of the people that pass through there are Hispanic, it’s only reasonable to at least know a little bit of Spanish.

Horrible experience. My family lives in the Valley and I visit them regurlarly. On one ocassion when I was coming back to Corpus, agents inspected my SUV damaging a plastic cover and my rear view camera. When I took my SUV to the mechanic, he told me this was a common occurence when officials check vehicles. Sometimes it can be fixed some other times it cannot. I guess it was not my lucky day. I am left with a vehicle that has a camera but it does not work anymore. It may seem that it is not a huge deal but it was my car, my property and now it cannot be fixed easily because of the damage to the wires and they just called a day!
Most of the agents are very professional and I appreciate them very much for sticking to citizenship questions ONLY. However, there are those agents who just ruin your trip by asking anything BUT citizenship questions. Literally had an agent ask me “where are you going?, for what reason?, To see who?”, and the list goes on... felt uncomfortable answering but did not want to make a scene so I complied.
It's better to just give up your rights and let them search the trunk of your vehicle because if you deny anything they ask they will have you park to the side and start interrogating you when you can let them check and leave asap
I just passed through the checkpoint. The Border Patrol agent was standing there along with another agent with the dog. They put the X on top but we were already going through to their stand and they were still there. The agent was extremely rude and sarcastic making comments because we went through when he put the X on top. No need for that. Just do your job and let us through instead of making stupid jokes no one, not even the agent with the dog, found funny. Hilariously enough, three more cars pulled up to their stand too because they were just standing around there doing nothing but laughing.
