Coppertop Golf Course recently changed hands from the Haddad family, who took ownership in the early 1980’s, to a new group of 4 local friends. Brunswick residents Greg Clement (Mapleside Farms), Eric Engelke and Jim Maclellan (Engelke Construction), and Olmsted Township resident and Greg’s business partner, Joe Singleton, are excited to take on the challenge of operating one of this area’s top public golf courses and event centers. The four are excited about improving a Medina County landmark and striving towards making Coppertop a premier wedding and event venue in Northeast Ohio. The Clement family has experience with other NE Ohio landmarks. They own and operate Mapleside Farms in Brunswick and see many similarities between the two properties. Greg’s experience with Mapleside Farms lends itself to creating a very exciting future for Coppertop.

Snuck out on a Friday afternoon for 10 for 9 holes. I was pretty happy with the condition of the course, although the players really need to work on fixing their ball marks on the greens. I tried to fix as many as I could, but it was almost like I couldn't get up there were so many. Last tee time is at 3:10pm and all carts must be in by 5:30. I walked myself, but just an FYI for all this winter.

I got married on 9/7 at Coppertop and I want to give them a HUGE shout out. We were the first wedding in their new pergola/ceremony area. The event coordinator - Donna Murrell - is THE BEST. She repeatedly set my mind at ease on details. She accommodated every single thing I asked for, she had awesome suggestions, responded to emails quickly, sent us with a golf course ranger for pictures so we could politely interrupt golfers, and made sure rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, pictures, the ceremony and the reception went smoothly. Their prices are some of the lowest around and the food is so good - we have gotten nothing but great compliments from our guests. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful both nights. Donna and her assistant Vic work well together and helped us so much. Thank you everyone!!!

Course in great shape. Tee to green was great. Golfers fix your ball marks on greens. That's not course fault. Don't send a 4 some off the back when groups are making the turn is my only complaint
