We've been going here for years and love seeing all the birds...it was cold out so didnt go all the way through...stopped in the gift shop and they had a rat and bunny in cages to see and we walked outside of there and saw and owls! You must drive through lone elk park it was great the buffalo was close to our truck and saw some elk...in the snow picture is tracks of the elk crossing the lake!

Amazing place to visit! They care so much for the birds and do so much for rehab and conservation. Great for an afternoon trip to walk around and learn more about birds! Bring your lunch, there's lots of places to sit and listen to the different calls of birds. They are donation based so think about stopping by and making a donation after experiencing a great sanctuary.

I love the wild bird sanctuary. So many different birds from around the world to learn about and interact with. A great place to bring kids. Don't forget to donate to help feed the beautiful creatures!

This was a great way to spend an hour on a Saturday. I was picking up plants on one of their local plant sales and decided to walk around the sanctuary. I paid the 8 per car suggested donation, this would have been a fantastic deal if I'd brought a friend, and was directed to the vendor pick up area. The sanctuary itself took about an hour for me to walk around. It probably would have taken longer if I'd been with friends. It wasn't crowded even though the parking lot was full. It was very relaxing walking around and looking at all the birds. I'd definitely go back. Their events sound like they could be cool so I might try one someday.

We drove from Memphis, TN to handle an exotic raptor (Forrest is pictured here), and we had such a great experience. The staff was great - CJ was very helpful, and Erin was so informative about all things owls. We are looking forward to visiting again.
