Julia Near and Far

Mosaic Tile House in Venice is an incredible work of art. It was closed at the time I was there so I could see only what was viewable from the sidewalk. I had the privilege of meeting Cheri Pann and talking to her about the Alice In Wonderland project they are working on. Covering the outside and inside of their residence with tile is still a work in progress, the owners/artists started this artwork in 1994.

The Mosaic Tile House was an absolute gem in the crown of Venice Beach California. Two artists Cheri and Gonzalo built the house into what it is over a period of 25years. Filled with Love for each other as well as a clear love of color, tile, glass and texture. This multisensory house lends itself to creative inspiration. Both Cheri and Gonzalo are warm and welcoming willing to share historical background, technique and even favorite cookie recipes. The Mosaic Tile House is a must see!!!
