I had an allergic reaction to the lotion. I was super disappointed in the quality of the product considering the price. I think the concept is great but in order to truly make an environmental impact by helping propel a societal movement towards sustainability, the products need to be much more affordable for the larger population. I was willing to spend the extra money but I can not use this body lotion. I don’t think I’ll bother to try any of the other products after this.

Went in for massage oil, which has turned out great! You can customize the fragrance (included in the cost) using some their many essential oils to choose from. It was bit overwhelming, but they have a useful chart to show health properties of the oils. Ultimately the staff helped us decide on a combination. She was very knowledgeable, thanks ladies!

The refill Shoppe may be my all-time favorite shop in Ventura. The first thing that lures me into the shop when I walk by is the wonderful, soothing smell of essential oils that flows out onto the street. If I have any worries at the time, they get interrupted by a sudden feeling of wellbeing. And every time I walk in, I am inspired by new ideas on how I can find natural alternatives to be more eco-friendly without feeling that I am compromising on efficacy. Over the years, I have come to know a bit more about the owner, Michelle, and how ethical and committed to sustainability she is. She really walks the walk. The Refill Shoppe is the REAL THING.
