If you are a hunter or just like to shoot you have to check out the Lightsey ranch. Every Quail hunt and Pheasant shoot I have been to has been phenomenal. The nicest people from the owners to all the guides and the food prepared by Mike will rival the best up scale restaurants anywhere. Lee and Tracey have build a first class hunting preserve that accommodates a multitude of hunting experiences. Do yourself a favor and check this place out you will not be disappointed.

Great Quail hunt! Guide, (Thomas) dogs and abundant Quail made this hunt one of the best days hunting I’ve ever had! Great food too! The property is spectacular!

Not sporting at all on a gator hunt. I booked a hunt for an alligator hunt after talking with them on the phone. I told them I would be happy with anything from 9 ft to 11 ft. So they booked me for a 10 ft gator hunt and said it shouldn't be a problem to hook one that size. When I arrived i was told we might have to shoot one of that size rather then doing it with a hook and line. I said I'd be fine with that as long we give the hook and line a try first as I wanted to fight one. I quickly got the feeling that I was just a numbers game to them as we only tried to hook one of that size before heading over to a pond to try and shoot one in the water less then an hour into the hunt. I will say I did miss one but after about another hour my guide called a couple of kids to come over. He said we would just start casting rods and pull out gators until we got one the size I wanted. I would have been fine trying this if I got to cast and fight the gators but all we did was drive over to the ditch and shoot one that the kids had hooked and pulled up to shore. It was not sporting at all. Yes I did leave with a 9 ft alligator but I felt like I had no part in it. Very disappointing.

This Ranch is fantastic, Lee Lightsey the owner and his wife Tracy and amazing people, their staff is very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, my son and I with some friends have gone hunting there 8 times in the past 4 years and every time has been a fantastic experience, their new facilities are beautiful, practical, clean and comfortable, the attention to detail and masterful handmade carpentry in all their rooms and all facilities at the lodge are memorable and exquisite. Their Cheff Mike Styer menu is delightful and everything they do is so delicious. An adventure I would recommend to anyone planning to hunt in Florida.
