I was there thirty years ago. The Reverend was then building the tower that is now covered in kudzu.

I dont think it open anymore.
Although the Place is in Ruins after several incidents of vandalism you can still feel the love the Reverend spread in this place . We incidentially met the woman who now takes care of this place and is trying to restore it. She let us in the 'store' and showed us the inside. She is collecting money to give some of its begone spirit and happiness back to the Reverend's and Margarete's palace. You can make appointments with her for a quick tour
It’s a really neat lesson in culture and decay. I hope someone buys it and restores it. It’s a beautiful piece of folk art that the city has abandoned and could be a treasure
Not much left but the MS folk art group has bought the property in hopes to save it.
Beyond repair this place is permanently closed. There appears to be information about a kick starter but the info looks outdated.
Crazy looking folk art.
