At the height of the Console war, the business started as a small shop inside of Bills Flea Market in Virginia Beach, Va. The store took off in a big way after finding ways to serve consumers discounted games, hard to find rarities, and used reliable systems at affordable prices. Since then, Video Game Heaven has abandoned the flea market platform and instead meets customers in 4 traditional brick-and-mortar boutiques. Great place to visit for the old school feel of gaming with new age vibe. Something for everyone, even individual system parts. (Needed a PS2 A/V cord) Very knowledgeable staff with tons of gaming trivia answers.(Need these guys on game night) Store is spaced out to not feel cluttered. Enjoyed my time there. I'll be back!

SO neat and organized inside. Great selection of all games - including retro, which is what we collect. Tons of specials - BOGO type deals. Prices are reasonable and about industry standard. Employee was very professional and checked on us several times. Parking will be street parking unless you’re lucky enough to get one of the spots in the lot behind the building, which is shared with several other businesses.

Chill store and nice staff. The largest of the VGH locations, there is a wide selection of retro video games for all kinds of memorable and forgotten consoles. They give okay credit on trade-ins but slightly lower than GameStop. The prices on games are slightly cheaper than the ebay market value and everything I've purchased here works.

My friend took me out to this store because they apparently sold some anime figurines because he knows I like them. Going here, the store was really nice, they had a lot of video games, plushies, and figurines. I saw one that I liked in the display case and asked one of the staff up front if they had another box lying around on the shelves and he checked and there were none so I said okay, I’ll take the one in the display case. Now keep in mind, I couldn’t tell by just looking at the display case to inspect if there was anything wrong with it. He took it out of the display case, took it apart, and put it in its original box. I paid and left. Here’s where I got a little bit upset. When I got home, I took it out of its box and started assembling it but noticed that the piece that would normally go into the base plate of the figurine had something in it. Right there I noticed that it was a piece of the figurines little peg from the foot area broken off and stuck into the base. I only paid about 35 so not that big of a deal but honestly, i don’t know if he broke it upon dissembling it or just sold me a slightly broken figurine without notifying me. But all I know is that I’m most likely not going to return back here. It was a nice store but I would definitely check the items you’re about to purchase first.

So I am someone who has to give credit when credit is due. Yesterday I had posted a pretty bad review for a situation that had happened. After the review was posted a member of management did reach out to me, pretty fast actually! We were able to come up with a fair resolution for the situation. I honestly appreciate them more than they know because this is my families favorite and go to store! The staff is always very friendly, very knowledgeable and always very helpful! They will always be our #1 go to and we will always recommend them to others! Video game heaven thank you for all that you do!

Great staff. answered all my questions about getting my system repaired. friendly, quick service. Honest employees who would rather me leave happy than with an item i do not need. Game Stop has nothing on Video Game Heaven. My new one stop shop. :)
