Zero stars would be a better rating. Never again! I’d ordered From this restaurant before and the food was OK, but this was not even edible. The cucumber salad is really some sort of warm yogurt soup with specs of Cucumber. I’ve had yogurt salad and other Middle Eastern establishments I’ve never seen anything like this. The taste was awful swimming and oil. The Gyro sandwich was too sad little pieces of tomato no lettuce a couple of thin slices of onion and flabby thin sliced deli style meat that was supposed to look like the Gyro shaved style meat. It was a rubbery and bland. Not only that, but I initially ordered on Grubhub. After an hour and a half I still had no food called the restaurant, and the owner offered to drive the food to my house. But I had to wait another 40 minutes for that delivery it was definitely not worth the wait for the money. There are much better middle eastern choices in Northern Virginia stay away from this one!

This is the best eatery/grocery store for Lebanese food in Vienna! It's a small quaint little shoppe with a small eatery on the other side. They have fresh meat, some produce, a lot of spices, and various pastas, olive oils, etc. The staff was very helpful and they were able to answer any questions we had. I will definitely be shopping here more often to get my groceries. The chicken shawarma sandwich is perfect. I love the spices and the pickles are absolutely perfect. They have the best tahini and garlic sauce as well.

I believe Al Nakheel is in hands of 3rd owner and has been, in my opinion, in steady decline since sale by first owner. Restaurant looks and feels tired and has the charm and ambience of a worn out lunch counter. It is more like anti-ambience. Pastries selection is about a quarter of what it used to be. My experience since passed on to succession owners is that meat trimming is terrible. I sometimes now drop in for humus, lentil soup, pickles-pickled beets-olives, bread and mango juice to drink only. That’s it. Sometimes music is played, other times not and tv is on with sound and last week both were on at the same time. Lighting is especially bad. Hanging light fixtures are above head level, when seated, with bare bulbs that will blind you if you slightly tilt your head up. Management is non existent whenever I have been there and service is awful. Update 02.14.2020: I returned a couple months later for lunch discovering restaurant has fresh coat of paint that appears to be eggshell white to my eye which enormously brightens the interior. The lights hanging over tables have been raised, appropriate bulbs installed and dimmer added to the circuit mitigating the blinding light previously over tables. Music at reasonable decibel level was playing and TV on with picture only - no sound. There was also a manager on the floor. Early this morning I dropped by the retail side to buy some mango juice and halva. Looking into the restaurant I see that white table cloths are now placed on tables. These are major improvements to ambiance and function. Owners are due high praise and recognition for these positive actions and improvements. Bumped up star rating to 3 stars.
