I cannot say enough positive words regarding Syed! He initially came to our house in late November of 2020. We hired him to look at a wall that was removed in our home. Our floors were sagging and beam was bowing. Fast forward to today (1/5/21) and he is still available for questions even after we paid him months ago. His job was done in November, but he cares about his clients. We truly felt he was one of the few people who were our advocates. He takes the time to explain. He is courteous, professional, and honest. I will always use him going forward personally and professionally when my real estate clients need a structural engineer.

Syed Qamer was a breath of fresh air in evaluating our home for structural problems and we are grateful for the service he provided to us. After a number of waterproofing companies came to our house with doom and gloom reports and expensive solutions to get rid of water in our basement, Syed assured us that the by grading the soil around the house, and putting plastic in the ground to direct water away from the house, our problem would be solved. He was very much our advocate, and provided practical advice, not just for the basement, but what we could expect if we sold our house, what needed to be fixed and how to fix it. He said that he would be happy to consult with whatever general contractor we chose to do the work. As an independent structural engineer, it was so nice to get common sense advice that we could use as a road map for fixing up our house. I highly recommend him!
The easiest way I can summarize my experience with Syed and SQ Consultants INC is Amazing! I have worked with him for over 6 years and every time, I have received excellent service, turn around times, and I will be forever appreciated his amazing delivery. Always on time with exceptional service and always great to deal with!
SQ consultants Is a pretty amazing company. We bought an old house that had compartmentalized and small rooms. As we were doing renovations, Mr Qamer came to give us an assessment on whether taking a wall between the kitchen and family room would remove support and cause the house to collapse. As it turned out the wall we wanted to take down was a supporting beam so just opening a hole in the drywall wouldn't work. This is when the magic began. Mr Qamer somehow went upstairs, went downstairs, did some measurements, and then came up with a drawing and a design for a supporting beam. He was deep in thought, , and all of the sudden, said to me\this should work\. Incredulous, I asked him if he was sure that his plan would work. He said, \absolutely\ and then Explained to me that he just needed to figure out a way to redistribute the weight. Fast forward 5 years later. His beam is holding up better than the almost 50 year old house it supports. Brilliant engineer, highly recommended!!!
Syed and SQ Consultants have been a miracle. We had bad soil and have had Syed look over all the aspects of the build. My wife and I feel so confident and comfortable with his knowledge and guidance we had him deal directly with our builder.
