I have had multiple people do work in and around my house over the past few years. I must say that of all of them, this organization stood out as one I would definitely do business with again and recommend to my friends. Their professionalism and responsiveness were amazing. Questions were always answered promptly, and they were very good about keeping me up to date when things were going to happen and when changes to plans occur. It's landscaping, and things change. I appreciated being kept informed. There were some items that needed to be done before they good do them. They recommended people who could help me out. I thought this was again, very professional on their part. I highly recommend this organization!

Outstanding, exceptional and a bunch of other really cool adjectives to describe Alternative Environments. Every facet of this business is professional, talented, on-time and extraordinarily customer-focused. And let me add, I’m a retired guy, only sort of old, but decidedly old-school when it comes to paying for a service and getting that service - exactly THAT service. I no longer expect a business to go beyond the call: Alternative Environments is the exception. If you’re considering any type of landscaping (or any other service they provide), look no further than Alternative Environments. I mean, really, stop right there – there’s nobody better on the planet than this company. And the planet’s a really big place. Our job wasn’t an easy one. However, from the initial estimate, to the work done, to the follow-through and the final review: masterful. When the crew said they’d be back later to finish a few things – there were indeed back later. When the crew said they’d be back the next day, they were back the next day. They weren’t going to be done until we were happy with everything. THIS is exactly how a company should conduct business. I can’t be more positive about Alternative Environments. For the purposes of this review, I need to be brief, however, that ship may have sailed. Alternative Environments is the best, no doubt. I’ll say this under oath if necessary. Thanks to everyone there for everything!

I don't write reviews often, but i regularly review them before selecting a vendor. I wanted to share my positive experience if it will help others evaluate a contractor decision. To put it bluntly, my wife and I have no clue when it comes to the different types of plants and shrubs that are out there. After 5 years of living in a new construction home and not planting anything, we finally admitted we needed help if we wanted something more than empty pine islands for some curb appeal. Biggest Factor: They actually listened to what we asked for. Instead of providing a generic line item quote with a generic list of plants(which others did), as a part of the estimate he provided a detailed sketch to scale of the layout with recommended plants and locations. He really listened to what we wanted to accomplish, developed a full picture and plan with specific plants recommendations, and some additional ideas to accomplish our basic goals with ideas we hadn't even thought of. Consisted of a variety of different plants, flowering colors, heights and growth patterns, etc... The work done by his crew was also very well done. They didn't just lay down some fabric on existing grass and staple it down, but they really prepared the plant bed well and carved a very clean edge for the flower beds and islands. The value was excellent and well priced and we are happy with the results and our experience. Now just anxious for full spring to see everything bloom.
