As previously stated in another review, the staff are curt and not very friendly. I was seeing the Dr. for pain in my lower back into my leg. He seemed to not take me very seriously, barely did an examination, and then asked me if I’ve ever heard of fibromyalgia. I was basically dismissed and then promptly got my bill. I went to another neurologist and they did the nerve test and ordered the mri I so needed. I found out I have a herniated disc that is causing pain. This Dr. is probably ready to retire as it seems he doesn’t really have much interest in finding out what’s really wrong with patients. I will never go to him again and hoping this review helps someone to make this decision also before they waste their money.

The Doctor himself, I found to be quite pleasant.. He took his time and asked me the standard examination questions and exam... The staff not so much, I thought his staff to be quite sharp and curt in demeanor. Only concerned with collecting my copay.. On arrival I had realized that I had forgotten about the copay was cash only... Why cash only, especially in light of the current pandemic, I think that it's probably prudent to a credit/debit card or check, rather than filthy cash money. That aside, my driver and caregiver, returned with the money for the cash payment, while I was inside with the Dr having my exam. She was informed at the door when she returned, that she wasn't allowed entrance into the building. As I have previously mentioned I am keenly aware of the current pandemic, and staying safe, because of the fact that I have several conditions that put me additional risk.. That said, my wife, more often than not plays a major role in my care. There was no valid reason for her to remain outside, she was appropriately masked and the staff had no prior knowledge of what type of assistance that I might need.. Rant over...

Dr Skinner is a fabulous, extremely professional neurologist. I was very comfortable with him, he was pleasant to speak with. His office staff is just as pleasant and friendly from the time I walked in the office door. I only waited lo be seen long enough to fill out the paperwork. How refreshing the doctor and his staff are. He’s definitely worth 5 Stars!

I have seen Dr. Skinner before and absolutely loved him. I called today to try to make an appt and the receptionist refused to even make it. And because I can't see him because she won't make an appt, I can't even tell him she won't make it. It's a shame because he is a great Dr.

I was seen by this so called neurologist while hospitalized with a viral meningitis a week after I had a vehicle accident, all which is primarily covered by my primary health insurance Bluecross and blue shield. I am also a disabled veteran and medical companies sometimes mis bill me and try to bill the VA first and not my primary health insurance through my wife’s state employment which causes inconveniences from time to time. I am also a brain tumor survivor from 2015 and was blessed to have such wonderful neurological care with Barrows Neurology in Arizona. This last week I went into see my PCP in regards to following up for the meningitis and I was referred to Dr Skinner for follow up care for the meningitis as well as my previous neurological history with the brain tumor which would entail getting yearly checkups and MRI’s. When I called the office of Dr Skinner, his front desk staff was very rude and ignored my explanations of medical history and decided to focus on just the accident and stated they don’t treat accident cases (which I am not) also disregarded that even if that was the case Bluecross would still be my primary insurance and they could still treat me. The level of attention was poor and their level of customer service was disgusting. I have never been so rudely treated by any medical professionals. Also when Dr Skinner came in to see me at the hospital he was extremely brief and never ordered any neurological testing nor an MRI. He also seemed to be extremely lethargic and very old almost as if he should be retired and not working in such a demanding and important field. Please look elsewhere or maybe even outside of Vineland for neurological care because these medical offices seem to forget their oath and practicing customer service.
