First trip back to the BWCA in 28 years (life and kids got in the way) and needless to say we needed updated equipment to pull it off. A few emails with the crew at Voyager North and we were on our way. The gear was top rate and the service was outstanding - because of Covid we had to change our group size at the last moment but it was no real issue for John, Lynn or Amber - it was just dealt with like they have done this for years...oh that's right - they have - it shows. Looking forward to taking another trip next year - we have our route planned and know where we will get the gear! Thanks!

John and Lynn and the entire staff at Voyageur North Outfitters were so friendly and helpful. We'll use their services again. They helped us choose the best rental canoe for our purposes. They offered helpful advice. I only wish that we would have asked more questions. John has a wealth of knowledge and is very willing to share, but is not pushy. I was very happy with all correspondence and their follow up was impressive. After the trip was over, the hot shower and cold drink were appreciated! Overall we had an excellent experience at Voyageur North Outfitters.

We planned our trip with the intent that it would be an unplugged outdoor relaxing time. We made our desires clear to Lynn. We had 7 days and she said that Fall lake to moose river would be a relaxing paddle with plenty of time to fish and probably we would have have time to stay 2 nights in 2 different campsites along the way. This is our first time to boundary waters so we were pretty much in their hands. It wasn't until we showed up the day before our trip and were purchasing maps that we started to get a bit nervous. Our trip consisted of 4 maps. So, one of our group members google mapped our trip and discovered that it was 63 miles!!! The next day we talked to John and he backtracked and said maybe we could stay in 1 camp site 2 nights in a row, but he wasn't very convincing. He also said that the trip was probably 40 to 45 miles. Needless to say it is all of 63 miles. Also 15 portages. Given also that we were traveling east to west against the wind we have no idea why they thought this would be a relaxing trip out on the boundary waters! We had to grind every day to keep making progress. Once we returned to the outfitters we saw John. When we told him about our experience he said he should have told us about the backdoor exit and basically shrugged it off. We did get to see lots of wild life when we weren't paddling for our life along with waterfalls (that we were portaging around). We now need a vacation from our vacation. Not the experience we wanted at all..

What a great experience. Went in thier with some limited knowledge and came out with plenty of use knowledge and products. Jake helped to explain everything extremely well and took his time to explain how we may need somethings but also how certain things wouldn't be the best for what we were fishing for. A great home like experience with plenty of options for tackle, bait and all fishing equipment. Wouldn't hesitate to stop by anytime we are back up here in Ely!
