This place is really nice. I found a cozy little spot. Great view of the lake. Camp host was friendly. There is a little trail that runs through a really cool spot that's georgous at any time of day.

We pulled into Cypress Cove and into Giggling Fish to listen to the band. Afterwards enjoyed the sunset.

We love Sequoyah Bay State Park but are very disappointed in the new system/policy to make reservations. A lot of elderly that camp aren't very acquainted with the internet or how to use it. Changing group camping and not having camp sites ready or tent sites available before a major holiday weekend left us scrambling to find a new camp area when we had a large group and several campers coming, some coming from out of state. Our normal camping group ended up split up in 2 different cities/camp grounds. I feel like Sequoyah STATE park is taking funding for their park and treating Sequoyah Bay like the park they don't want to take care of because its not in their actual park. Luckily our group found a new park and lake that we really loved staying at and the camp hosts were very nice and welcoming, just wished our entire group could have been there instead of being stuck at the River which split up our tradition and group. Sequoyah Bay camp host and workers were polite and welcoming but had to follow the State parks and park rangers policies. We were understanding of that. The lady that answers the phone in the main office was very rude and hateful not only to us but to people she was answering the phone to while we were there asking questions about camp. She acted as if she hated her job or was sick of answering the same questions. I'll never give our business to the STATE park but I'm sure at some point we will try Sequoyah Bay again but closing off our group camp to line up campers in rows might not be what we are looking for.
