This place was so much fun. The kids loved walking over the bridge. We were there the beginning of November and the trees were just past their peak and were beautiful. We got great pictures of the whole family. Go early on nice days. We were there on a Sunday and by noon it was packed. It was just under 3 miles from one end to the other.

Just a beautiful experience. You can spend hours here. It took us almost 3 hours. There's bathrooms that are clean and a little food truck as well as a small merchandise shop. Highly recommend for an outdoor activity. You can take your time, ride a bike or jog. So many enjoying the day.

A 40 minute drive from the Catskill Mountain Railroad, is a walkway that you can walk across the Hudson from above. My friends and I walked halfway across the bridge to admire the view and take pictures of the Hudson. You can see how breathtaking the view is and see how infrastructure really immersed itself within the nature. Especially during these pandemic times, the bridge was not as crowded as it was in the past, and people did follow social distancing protocols. Tip: Come during peak season and remember to dress warmly as it does get pretty windy up there. Make sure to have your mask on as well.

As far as walkways go, this one is my all-time favorite. Whole families, old people, kids, cyclists, EVERYONE was on there. I got in some great views of this cute little city and the Hudson River. Great place and totally worth the visit if you're ever in the neighborhood.

This bridge is a beautiful way to see the majestic Hudson River. It is a nice way to spend a Spring, Fall or Summer morning or afternoon to stroll, bike ride or jog across. The distance of the bridge is just under 1 1/2 miles. The views are absolutely amazing with plenty of photo opportunities. There are clean restrooms if needed. The history of the building and renovations of the bridge is fascinating as well. Downtown Poughkeepsie is minutes away for a meal or for sightseeing. The Metro North train station is just a short walk from the bridge as well.
