Did a four mile run along the shoreline. To get down to the shoreline you did have to go through a lot of snow today but it was mostly packed down and not very deep. The boardwalk also had a central path cleared but it was very narrow and difficult to socially distance or go around people easily. So that's why we opted for the shoreline. It was impossible to do a run on the boardwalk today, it was really only appropriate for walkers because of the numbers of people out on such a gorgeous day. The upcoming warmer weather and rain should clear a lot of it though in the next few days.

It's Jones Beach. Grew up right next to this beach. Take Cedar Creek trail via bike to this beach. Main field 4 is way too pack and crowded in summer. Other than that overall great beach.
If you can get here by 6 AM during the summertime definitely go to beach number six, it’s the shortest distance to the water otherwise you will be walking an easy quarter of a mile to the water from your car. Being at this beach is definitely an amazing feeling,It’s a quick getaway from New York City. You will feel like you were transported to another state. I would have given it five stars but like I said the walk to the water with all of your beach gear is a hassle.
Live to stroll on the boardwalk, I just don’t understand all the folks who ignore the no pets signs tho!!! I’m sorry guys your lil fur babies are really just pets! Otherwise it’s a lovely, peaceful place to just relax or exercise.
This is the jewel of New York state. Great beach that stretches for miles. Well maintained facilities and plenty of parking space. Be prepared to walk since the shore is a few hundred yards from the parking fields so pack light. Field 6 has the shortest walk but it's a small lot which fills up early. Follow the speed limit since there are plenty of state police always around.
