These negative reviews are totally unfair. I manage a seafood dept. and know for a fact that they make crab cakes from Value to High-end Restaurant Quality. When buying a 4 pack of crab cakes for 5 (1.25 each) and they are filled with shredded lump crab meat, you realize what an incredible value these cakes are. On weekends or on promo I have to re-stock the case multiple times If your tastes run high-end, we carry their 4 oz. Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, which retail for 8.99 and off which run 7.99 promos. Believe me they are worth it! These cakes cost less than a 20 restaurant cake and are just as good if not better!!! Buy to your taste level and appreciate that they are made in America!!!! Most cakes are made overseas and shipped frozen, these are fresh never frozen.

I bought two packages of the Dockside Classics, one Crab Cake pack of 4 and One Lobster Cake. After cooking they were soft mounds of mush without any seafood to be seen anywhere and did not taste like seafood at all. They were just flavored bread crumbs, and terribly expensive. I used to buy this product years ago and it was decent but at this point I will NEVER buy this product again because it was a total rip off. Who wants to pay seven bucks for flavored bread crumbs?

My housemate and I were co-hosting a small dinner party. We bought a package of these crab cakes, and a breaded shrimp product of the same brand for appetizers. Both of the Dockside Classic products were HORRIBLE. Not only a disappointment, but a huge embarrassment in front of our guests. The crab cakes should be called cake cakes, because none of us could detect ANY crab at all. We couldn't see it, we couldn't taste it, and we couldn't feel any crab texture when we bit into them. It was just breading. Soggy, nasty, undercooked breading (even though we cooked them exactly according to the directions on the package). The breaded shrimp were almost as bad. The tiny shrimp were buried in a giant mound of breading. Every scraped it off and just ate the little shrimp. Will NEVER, EVER by a Dockside Classic product again.
