Nice park, but can be very busy, come early when it's more peaceful and quiet. Has a boat launch on a nice little lake, vending machine worms for fishing, and sometimes boat rentals. It has a really nice outdoors archery range. Camping from Fridays to Sunday, I didn't drive through the campground so I'm not sure how many sites are there, but they did have a \Full\ sign up. Nice area to take pictures if you can get here before the crowds.

I absolutely love riding out to Blackwell. It's always so peaceful and beautiful. I've never seen it crowded. Good stretch of bike trails that lead to St. James farm, Aurora branch of Prairie Path, and about two miles from Herrick Lake. can kayak in Silver Lake. There's also fishing, archery, single track trails. It's a great spot

This preserve is fantastic! Boat launch, fishing, shelters with picnic tables, lots of separate parking lots through out and all paved with paved roads. The views from Mt. Hoy are impressive; probably more so when there is fall foliage available.

A deeply pleasant visit, Blackwell is a preserve with a lot to offer for everyone from casual trekkers looking for a quick walk to backpackers and campers. Mt. Hoy, the artificial hill, is the centerpiece of the park — and for very good reasons. Not only does it offer the best view you're gonna get in a state renowned for flatness, it's also a masterwork of civil engineering, ecology and land rehabilitation. Although it was deemed a Superfund site thirty years ago after decades of use as a landfill, Blackwell as it exists now is a rich and rejuvenated jewel of flora and fauna.

Beautiful relaxing place to have lunch, walk around and just chill. Reminds me of the Arboretum but no admission. I come here as often as I can
