So much more than a performing arts venue. I highly recommend signing up for one of their free tours once they start offering them again. It was cool to hear the history behind each stage.

Oh my god, very cool
This place sets the standard. Every event and performance here has been stellar. You will leave inspired.
Loved the Winter Lanterns exhibit at The Reach! The signs of the zodiac were neat but the real stars were some of the animals including pandas, turtles, tigers, and even a Dragon! Can't wait to see what they have there next. Only complaint is the walkways are fairly narrow given the large crowds. They could better manage the crowds by keeping everyone flowing in the same direction through the installation, particularly on the pathway through the signs of the zodiac that dead ends leaving no option but to fight back through the crowd to get out.
Whether you're looking to go to a small experimental show or take in some of the biggest productions around, the Kennedy Center has what you're looking for. Arrive early or stay late to take in some of the best views of the city from the rooftop terrace! Then come back again to visit "The Reach," a lush campus filled with art, flowers and plenty of space for a relaxing picnic.
Great shows. Good seating options. It's a very nice venue. There are multiple theaters inside so you can always find something to see. They have a nice gift shop and make concessions readily available. The view outside is lovely also by the waterfront. It's a nice place to view part of DC while you are on intermission or before your show begins.
The Kennedy center is one of those amazing places that you are lucky to get a chance to see a show in. It's a building that is nicer than any other Broadway theatre or most performing arts centers in the country. You can see multiple performances in a day and can even head up to the cafe or restaurant to get a bite to eat. Even if you're not a performing arts fan, it's definitely worth it to catch a show here once in your life - and don't forget to head up to the terrace to take in the panoramic views of DC!
We went to the Kennedy Center to enjoy the Millennium stage free concert. It was world class with the Philadelphia Jazz Orchestra compromised of high school and college students. What stage is small on the ceiling is tight and you have to sit on the floor if you get there late. But it's worth the performance and the fact that it's in the Kennedy Center. Acoustics and sound of rope last and the musicians and performers are top-notch. I highly recommend going to Millennium stage and enjoying the performances and bringing friends and family to do so.
