It's very disappointing that the size of the pounded yam is rather too small that you literally do not need 3 tea spoons of egusi to finish it even though the egusi wasn't even all that. I am more disappointed by the so called pepper soup. Its just a mix of water n tomato paste. I don't usually leave bad reviews but this is just a bad experience to represent values of an africa food. Thanks

I had been looking for some good Egusi Soup since Naija Cafe in Clinton is too far from me. Then one day I took a chance to order them off Doordash. They have THE BEST egusi I have ever tasted! Very well seasoned & the goat meat was SOOO tender & the pounded yam was so soft and fresh & it wasn't too spicy which I was happy about wish it had ponmo in it also the only issue is for 17 I wish that it came in a much bigger container.
The food was AMAZING and the live reggae music Friday night had me coming back Sayurday night. I was looking for a place with good food and vibe and I found it here. No cover charge both nights, 21. Dress was casual but I still dressed to impress. Rum punches were stronnggggg. Definitely returning here when I visit DC again.
I was disappointed with the food it was strongly scorched smelled scorched the taste was light but noticeable. They should not have served the food it should have been discarded. I will not eat here again.
