Dr. Ellen O'Brien and Dr. Ellen Hamburger are both outstanding. They have always been incredibly attentive, kind, honest, patient, and very caring. Our boys love seeing them and so do we! We were referred to this practice by a friend who completed part of her pediatric training at Children's. She witnessed first hand why this group has been highly recommended by the medical residents and attending physicians. We've been thrilled with the care our children have received.

I've been coming here for 7 years now and I have to say that DR. O'Brien is the BEST!!! She's been GREAT with my daughter since day one. Even after I moved, it's worth the travel to see her. The nurses are so kind and nice with my daughter, always making her comfortable. The only reason why I wouldn't give them a 5 star is due to the front desk. They've never had someone nice or with any type of customer service. They always look miserable!!! I drag myself when going to the front desk. Once they see you their face show as we're disturbing them.

We LOVE Childrens Pediatricians. We started coming here almost three years ago before my daughter was born, and have just had the best experiences here. We typically see Dr. O'Brien or Dr. Schneider, whom are both lovely, knowledgeable, and amazing. But I have taken my daughter to see many of the other doctors for sick appointments, and have spoken countless times with the NP Emily when I am unsure of something at home. We don't live close by to them anymore, so parking is a little of a pain, but we still trek to them because they are so fantastic.

My grandson was seen at the office on Monday, for a quick visit by a doctor who either couldn't or wouldn't listen to the concerns we were attempting to share. Not eating fully for the last 2 days, gagging when he ate and vomiting. They chalked it up to just a little bug and sent us on our way. Fast forward to yesterday when he was seen at Children's National Medical Center Hospital and with a quick swab and culture, the doctor determined that his visibly ( I guess her eyes MISSED it at K) red and extremely raw throat was the result of a virus much like strep. Full check up later and with a much better explanation for what was happening with his ears, related to his throat and his not eating we were on our way with a prescription for the pain and discomfort he was experiencing. Some professions are more than just jobs, if you CHOSE to be a doctor, especially dealing with small children or the elderly you have to have a little more patience and a better bed side manner.

We've found Children's Pediatrician & Associates to be incredibly flexible and accommodating. Our son was born a month early and right before the start of President's day weekend. That left us scrambling to find a dr who was willing to see him within the recommended 48 hours of being discharged from the hospital (particularly relevant b/c he was so early). Children's not only was able to see him on the holiday but have been great about responding to our new parent calls and worries. I did choose to reduce the the number of vaccine per visit which meant we visited the office frequently during our first 8 months. They were willing to accommodate but I was obviously going against their better judgement.
