The restaurant indoor space is nicely organized, dim lighting for night time. The food here is excellent. One of the best Ethiopian food in DC, although I would say that DC have many Ethiopian restaurants comparing to other cities. We had the pork, the beef, and the chicken dishes. They were all good; the meat was tender, flavorful, and spicy. I like that the chicken dish also come with a nice egg, that’s also cooked with the meat. The coffee here is also very tasty and rich, not like your average Starbucks. The only thing was the service were slow; waited an hour from ordering until the food is on the table. Other people don’t seem to have this experience but it happened both times I visited. Food is worth the wait but you can find other places in DC with similar quality and quicker service.

Excellent food! I have been eating here for several years now. The restaurant is very clean and the owner and employees are very friendly. During the pandemic, I have been ordering through postmates. Each time the food is quality and always perfect! I have never eaten their food and gotten sick like other ethiopian restaurants. ETHIOPIC restaurant thank you, you are appreciated!!
Fantastic food! It's become my go-to during COVID. Their beef seg wat and beef tibs are delicious. I also love their lentils and other veggie options. Highly recommend!
The food is good. Ask for spicy, if you want it, even on dishes marked as spicy on the menu. Otherwise you may not get it. Other reviewers say the food is spicy. Again, make your tastes known. The spicy dishes could have been more spicy; but, our fault for not getting clarification.
