Even through the pandemic, Fantom Comics remains the best comic shop in the DC metro area. The store is clean, well organized, and well lit. The staff provides excellent customer service, making sure that all feel welcome and safe in both the space and the hobby. No DC shop can be everything to everyone and Fantom isn't known for a deep archive of back issues or vast spaces for gaming, but it is the perfect hub for the District's diverse, intelligent, and engaged comics community.

Awesome little comic shop. Friendly staff, comfortable environment to look around, read a comic, and explore. If you’re in the area and looking for a space to check out some of the more recent interesting comics, definitely a good spot to check out.

It's just about the best comic book shop in DC. The staff is always attentive and they consistently have some really great events for all types of comic book fans. Whether you've never read a comic book before or you're coming in to set up a weekly pull list, this is the place to be.
