Dr. Chin changed my life when I was suffering from severe and debilitating back pain. I had been prescribed every pain medicine available and the only thing that was doing was making me sick -- extremely nauseated and unable to work. I was recommended to Dr. Chin and she immediately identified the correct combination of treatment that treated my exact pain in a targeted manner. The opioids were making me ill. She identified the treatment that allowed me to sleep for the first time in 8 weeks through the night in my bed. Dr. Chin is warm, friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. I would highly recommend her.

I was referred to this practice because the Pain Management practice I have been treated by for last 9 months is moving to MD and my insurance is DC Medicaid. This is my second bad experience with GWU MFA. GW Spine & Pain Center were very specific as to what they needed pre-consultation. I provided referral, last 3 appointment notes, treatment plan including prescribed medication for plan, MRI imaging and reports. They had all of this information a week before appointment. I specifically asked if I would continue with my plan and was told it would be determined at consultation. I was okay with that. What I'm not okay with is learning that the doctor had no intention at all of continuing with my plan and she specifically and definitely said that the medication and pain management I am on is something she does not do for ANY of her patients. That is fine but knowing and having records of my plan it should have been stated to me before having me take time and resources and taking an appointment to bill insurance having no intention of continuing to help me in the way that is working for me. Suggesting treatment options that I have already tried that don't work. I made it clear that I was unhappy about that tactic, more so than how they choose to treat. She tried to say it was case by case but I reminded her that she just told me she doesn't treat how I'm being treated EVER so it's not case by case and not appropriate to waste a patient's time and resources. She conceded the point and said that she would talk with administration. So wasted my time, got their money. I don't recommend this practice.

She is very cold, you are truly better off not going at all. You will not leave her feeling cared for or about.

Worst experience I've ever had with ANY doctor I've encountered. She does not listen to what's going on- just judges based on if you've adhered to her plan, despite your pain level.
