Very good school. The Kipp program is making a difference in schools. Every school they take over seems to change for the better. My daughter used to go to this Kipp location. It was good and I did see improvement but compared to the Kipp: Will campus this just want cutting it. I'm not saying the school was garbage, it was good compared to the other alternatives in the District in non-affluent areas but it wasn't close to the standard of other Kipp locations. That being said I did enjoy the school when my child attended, most of the teachers went above and beyond and really tried to make a difference and reach out to the parents/guardians of troubled children to come up with a comprehensive plan to get them on the right track. There were a good amount of bad apples and those were the older teachers. I understand they've paid their dues and just don't feel like doing anything extra, but if that is the case then they should just retire. The location of the school is convenient. There is a metro train across the street and metro bus right out in front. There are stores right down the street (7 eleven, McDonalds, etc...) I would have to say I had a decent experience while dealing with this Kipp location. I'm sure it will continue to get better once they get those archaic fossils out of the system and scout for newer, younger, more talented teachers.

I was so delighted to get the call accepting my daughter into this program. She has absolutely fallen in love with her teachers in the Howard Classroom- Ms. Chapman and Ms. Jones, Mr. Soto and everyone she interacts with. I heard great things about the KIPP philosophy and program before my child was enrolled and am in awe of the way they are broadening her horizons. Thank you KIPP DC!!
I think this is a good school I don't go to this school but my exfriend goes to this school and there good prepared students don't even have to bring school supplies and it's so...so organized because they always talk to the teacher before school so I think this is a good school
I love KIPP my two boys has attended KIPP since pre-school. My boys are now in the 4th and 5th grade and I couldn't be more pleased with the growth they endured through out the years. I absolutely love how consistently Kipp enforce in their students that with dedication and determination the sky is the limit for them. All I can say is awesome school!!
