A beautifully decorated family owned establishment. Warm and inviting. As an official Washingtonian I highly recommend this place. Here is a beautiful dining experience. The food feels like home and the flavors are superior. The dumplings and Tikka dishes are a must. Bill

Amazing food and super friendly service! Absolutely loved their dumplings and potato and onion flat bread. Also appreciated the kindness of the staff - my friend was feeling unwell (period pain), and the lovely lady was super empathetic and brought her a ginger and honey tea.

Lapis has an old world feel. Beautiful spot for coffee, brunch, cocktails or dinner. Lovely terrace and gorgeous inside spaces too. Highly recommended.

The most amazing Afghani cuisine, with delightful flavors and wonderful friendly service. Stays packed, so try to make a reservation. Offers both indoor and outdoor dining.

This is my favorite restaurant in DC. I so miss coming in person and experiencing the warm, bustling atmosphere and modern, unfussy but chic Afghan decor, and popping downstairs to find vinyls spinning in the attached Lapop bar. Food-wise, the vegetable dishes steal the show. When it was possible, I loved coming with a group and ordering all of them for the table. Every experience I’ve had here has been phenomenal to the last detail - and affordable! This is where I’d bring someone I really liked on a date or for a special, intimate night out.
