Expert care and very friendly staff. Wait time was long, got in at 6 with bad cuts and was seen at 7:30, but they allowed me to wait in my car which was nice to feel more COVID-safe. Would go back for care again

I can't vouch for this place. I check the prices online, and then I even call ahead and talk to a live person to double check before walking in. I get here and it's a cliche, the women behind the counter are very confidant and authoritative telling me it doesn't matter. Trying to charge 6x the price. Eventually I force them to admit they're wrong. Then they give me a surgical mask to wear, and say I have to wear it over top of my N95 mask because it's \policy\. Is this a joke?

I would like to express my gratitude for the wonderful experience at Capital Hill MedStar Urgent Care. The doctors and staff were excellent in taking care of my health, alongside addressing my concerns and providing a nurturing environment. I can’t even articulate the phenomenal job on how they’re always putting their families needs first . Nonetheless, The safe distancing was in placed on the most highest level the staffs always demonstrated professionalism, Which makes my encounter a wonderful one . I must say the doctor are phenomenal and always working even harder in providing the excellent care for their families and staffs . I noticed, how the doctors took the time in listening to my concerns and was very informative in providing the excellent care of treatment for me. I am grateful for the beautiful spirit that y’all have. I highly recommended this location for your families and friends. Thank you all! Ms. Hill

NEVER EVER EVER EVER GO HERE FOR CARE. Went in for an (urgent) lab test and did not have any issues with the front desk staff, wait time was fine. When I went back for the test I communicated with the provider what I needed and communicated what I did not need run for the lab. They communicated to me that they understood and would only run labs for the requested test. I was very surprised to receive a large bill in the mail for the tests that the provider told me they did not need to run and would not be billing. Also very surprised that no one ever called me to give the results of said test(s). If you were running the tests in good faith - why wouldn't you follow up with the patient with the results? Maybe because we had the discussion that I did not need those tests?? I have been trying to work with staff and see what my options are on this for a very long time and have continually been ignored; no calls returned, no email follow up. It's really sad that patients rights are not respected and that this process has to be so draining. If I had known that the other tests would be done and billed I would have kindly thanked the provider for their time, refused care, and made an appointment with a lab or GP elsewhere. As patients we should be able to communicate with our providers and have our needs listened to. This location is not worth the hassle in surprise billing and horrible customer service that follows. Will never seek out MedStar urgent care in the future if this is how they conduct their business and treat patients.

Avoid this location if possible. I was seen in July 2020 by C Jackson, NP. He spent no more than 1 minute in the room with me, misdiagnosed me, and prescribed medication that made me very sick (due to the misdiagnosis). After speaking to a nurse on the phone she was able to tell me what the issue was and to stop taking the medication - without even seeing the problem. They were just trying to crank people in and out without actually trying to help. 6 months later, I am receiving an astronomical bill from them claiming I didn't pay in full at the time of the visit. This place is a pain only concerned about the money.
